It’s Tia here—whew! it’s been a whirlwind.
So much has changed and continues to change, and I wanted to take a second to share what’s been going on behind the scenes. As you may have noticed we rebranded this year, we launched a fresh new website (finally!), and—this is a big one—we hired a digital team! Yep, we’re growing, and with that comes a little chaos, a few learning curves, and a whole lot of grace. We’re figuring things out together, and while it’s not perfect, it’s always aligned and real. And that’s what I want this space to be moving forward—real. Don’t get me wrong as a designer girlie, I love me some cohesiveness and things being cutesy but if you know me, or get to know me here - I’m also a go-with-the-flow, small kine Makawao hippy, frequent rider on the Hot Mess Express, and on a daily mission to tame, find or referee my feral boys.
As we navigate thru this new season, one thing that I’m leaning on is to still do what feels most aligned and authentic to me and how we care for our Geeky Mamas Community. So moving forward, my team and I decided to start writing our blogs as simply put a letter to my friend in a way to keep in touch with you. No fluff, no fancy talk—just updates, ideas, and a peek into the heart of what we’re building here. I’d love for these blogs to become a two-way conversation, so feel free to reply, ask a question, send feedback, or just say hi. We’re not just growing a business—we’re growing a community.

What's been transpiring...
For me, it’s more like my purpose all wrapped up in one. Geeky Mamas Studios was founded on these same digital services but over the past 10 years with projects in and projects out; there was something in me that wanted to continue to support my clients in a more fuller way that I could not fulfil then. Until today, with my new digital team on-board, we have been able to work thru, dig deeper and figure out a more meaningful way to serve my community through digital services that could really move the needle and help our local businesses thrive.
As we worked thru what this new season for Geeky Mamas Studios really means, we were able to arrive with a new focus that I have been so antsy to finally share about: we’re calling it, Impact 100. A new mission with the same heart to support 100 businesses in Hawai‘i through our new “Bold Brands, Bigger Impact” campaign. The idea? Help local entrepreneurs, creatives and business owners create a powerful brand presence, launch stunning websites, and—most importantly—get the ongoing digital support they need to thrive long-term.
This isn’t just a package or another service. This is our way of helping other business owners and creatives the best way we know how!

As an entrepreneur and business owner for the last 20 years, being able to support other entrepreneurs and business owners is something I believe will help keep our Hawai’i based businesses up, alive and thriving! Without our small businesses, our crafters and artisans, our mom & pop stores, our local eatery’s and plate lunch spots, our local trade businesses, our local bakeries, our local services, our local farmers and fishermen - we lose the essence of our community and ultimately, Hawai’i loses the heartbeat that make this place so special and magical. So, for me, this mission is bigger than a service – this is my part in helping our community thrive - in Hawai’i and online.
